Leonardo DiCaprio to host fund-raiser for Hillary Clinton with attendance to cost whopping $33,400 per person

Top Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio will host a lunch time fund-raiser for Democratic party presidential nominee Hillary Clinton with attendance to the fund-raiser costing a mind boggling $33,400 per person, according to Variety magazine.

According to the magazine, the star-studded event is billed for August 23 and has been titled "Conversation with Hillary" and invites were recently sent out.

Only $2,700 from the event will go to Hillary Clinton's campaign. The remainder of the money will go to the Democratic National Committee and to state and local parties.

DiCaprio has attended Clinton fundraisers before, most recently in June, when he joined Jennifer Lopez and Sarah Jessica Parker at an event held at Harvey Weinstein’s New York home.

Last July he also contributed $2,700 to Clinton’s campaign, the highest donation allowed during the primary.

Collapsed banks in Ghana recovered only $142 million out of $2 billion loans, Bank of Ghana Governor reveals.

The Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr Ernest Addison says out of the $2 billion (GHS10.1 billion) worth of loans taken by the receivers of some nine banks which collapsed in the country, only $142 million (GHS731 million) has been received. SEC to end issuance of e-dividend warrant by June 2017

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), has directed all registrars operating in the Nigerian capital market to end the issuance of e-dividend warrant to investors by June 31, 2017. This, according to the commission, will compel retail investors to embrace the exercise and stem the rising unclaimed dividend in the capital market, which is currently put at N80 billion. E-dividend is an electronic dividend payment which will enable an investor’s account to be credited after 24 hours that dividend is paid.
